How Often Should My Driveway Be Sealcoated?
If your driveway is newly paved you should wait between 6 - 12 months before applying a sealer. This allows the new asphalt time to fully cure.
How often you apply an asphalt sealcoating depends on factors including exposure to traffic, snow, and chemicals (e.g. de-icers). On average sealcoating should be completed every 2 - 3 years or when you start to notice cracking, chipping, or gravel base exposure.
